Sharing recipes between real foodies in both your physical community and cyber community! is a great way to bump up your real food options.

Start with asking friends and family to share their recipes. Borrow recipe books from the library too.

Join a good Facebook group with like-minded people. One of my favorites is Real Food In New Zealand (https://www.facebook.com/groups/491151944355688/) run by Maryana Lishman, Earth Mama Real Food Holistic Health Coach.

This was a recipe from one of the groups members (thanks Frank!) and a great sweet treat for Easter perhaps.

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts (or seeds for tree-nut free)
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Half cup of desiccated coconut
  • 1t cinnamon
  • 2t cacao

Whizz in a blender until smooth and pour into a dish and chill until firm, then slice into cubes. These are great kept in the freezer too and taste really nice directly from.

Another good group is also Wholefood Family (https://www.facebook.com/groups/712271168828632/). Have a look at websites that offer free ‘real food’ recipes, tips and tricks to keep you going too.

Thanks for following and supporting Real Food Generation. We’re enjoying sharing our experiences!
