Sharing recipes between real foodies in both your physical community and cyber community! is a great way to bump up your real food options.

Start with asking friends and family to share their recipes. Borrow recipe books from the library too.

Join a good Facebook group with like-minded people. One of my favorites is Real Food In New Zealand ( run by Maryana Lishman, Earth Mama Real Food Holistic Health Coach.

This was a recipe from one of the groups members (thanks Frank!) and a great sweet treat for Easter perhaps.

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts (or seeds for tree-nut free)
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Half cup of desiccated coconut
  • 1t cinnamon
  • 2t cacao

Whizz in a blender until smooth and pour into a dish and chill until firm, then slice into cubes. These are great kept in the freezer too and taste really nice directly from.

Another good group is also Wholefood Family ( Have a look at websites that offer free ‘real food’ recipes, tips and tricks to keep you going too.

Thanks for following and supporting Real Food Generation. We’re enjoying sharing our experiences!
